Restoring Haussmann Elegance with a Contemporary Vision
This Parisian apartment renovation brought back the defining features of classic Haussmann style—ornate cornices, wall mouldings, and traditional herringbone parquet—carefully restored to their original beauty. The historic architectural base was elevated with a refined, functional, and contemporary design approach, resulting in a bright and timeless high-end interior.
Open-plan kitchen and sunlit living room
The open-plan kitchen flows seamlessly into the living area, creating a bright and welcoming space. A custom-built bench defines the dining nook, while the bespoke kitchen combines solid oak cabinetry, brass fittings, and a Calacatta Brecciato marble countertop—balancing natural elegance with warmth and high-end design.
Custom-designed layout for urban family livin
This family-friendly Haussmann apartment features a widened hallway with a discreet built-in wardrobe. The two bedrooms were designed to suit modern urban living, with custom joinery, hidden desks, and integrated storage—creating a functional yet elegant interior tailored to everyday life.
Unique pieces and vintage furniture for a bespoke interior
The interior decor showcases a thoughtful, sustainable selection of distinctive vintage pieces. Highlights include 1960s Ifö wall sconces by Sigvard Bernadotte, a solid elm Maison Regain bedside table (circa 1980), a reupholstered Italian Alky chair by Giancarlo Piretti in bouclé wool, a stoneware lamp echoing the work of Guy Baudat, and a set of French oak chairs attributed to Pierre Cruège (1950s). The result is a cohesive style rooted in collectible design.
A bathroom inspired by Carlo Scarpa
The bathroom was completely reimagined with a polished concrete wall, handcrafted zellige tiles, and a light marble floor—creating a textured, luminous, and refined atmosphere. A mirror inspired by Gio Ponti adds a graphic touch to this well-optimized space, bathed in natural light.
Timeless and functional Haussmann interior
Washed linen curtains, natural materials, integrated furnishings, and reopened windows—all choices made to create a bespoke, durable, and expressive space. The result is a refined interior that honors Haussmann heritage while meeting the needs of contemporary family life.
